Award winning Western Australian director of Hounds of Love and Netflix sci-fi Extinction, Ben Young will present a filmmaking workshop at the Space Brains Science Fiction Film Festival in Mandurah.

At the inaugural Space Brains Science Fiction Film Festival, the director of Netflix sci-fi film, Extinction, Ben Young will present a workshop and sit in on a panel discussion.

The Space Brains Science Fiction Film Festival, with a gala awards event held in Mandurah WA on May 21st, has secured the talented local Western Australian director Ben Young fresh from wrapping up work on his latest film, Where All Light Tends To Go starring Billy Bob Thornton and Robin Wright. Mr Young will present a half hour workshop drawing on his experience in TV and film and join the panel discussion on science fiction along with WA sci-fi author Amanda Bridgeman and author, educator and environmental scientist HM Waugh.

With tickets available for sale from the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre, the film festival will showcase both local and international science fiction films while providing access to esteemed filmmakers and other creatives.
